Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in 1998 by guitarist and vocalist Zakk Wylde, best known as Ozzy Osbourne’s longtime lead guitarist. Known for its aggressive sound, emotional depth, and biker-metal aesthetic, Black Label Society (often abbreviated as BLS) has built a devoted fanbase called the Berserkers.

The band’s music blends sludge-heavy riffs, pinch harmonics, and southern rock influences with bluesy guitar solos and powerful vocals. BLS’s lyrical themes often explore inner struggle, loyalty, brotherhood, and loss—especially evident in songs like “In This River,” written in memory of Dimebag Darrell.

Over the years, Black Label Society has released several critically and commercially successful albums, including “Stronger Than Death” (2000), “The Blessed Hellride” (2003), “Mafia” (2005), “Order of the Black” (2010), and “Doom Crew Inc.” (2021). Songs such as “Stillborn,” “Suicide Messiah,” and “Fire It Up” have become staples of their live performances.

Zakk Wylde remains the driving creative force behind the band, known for his unique guitar tone, signature squeals, and larger-than-life stage presence. Current members include John DeServio (bass), Dario Lorina (guitar), and Jeff Fabb (drums).
